Aanamalai Wildlife Sanctuary
This sanctuary is situated at an altitude of 1.400 meters in the Western ghats near Pollachi. The area of the sanctuary is 958 Sq. km. It has various kinds of exotic fauna like Elephant, Gaur, Tiger, Panther, Sloth Bear, Pangolin, Black headed oriole, Green Pigeon and civet cat. The Amaravathy reservoir in the Aanamalai has a large number of crocodiles. There are also many places of scenic beauty such as Karain Shola, Anaikunthi shola, Grass hills waterfalls groves, teak forests, estates, dams and reservoirs. Arrangements are available at Top slip to take tourists around the Sanctuary on elephant hack or by van.

Pollachi
This town is about 40 km from Coimbatore on the way to Parambikalam Aliyar project. Next to Coimbatore, it is the leading town of the district and an important commercial centre. A temple dedicated to Mariamman and another to Subramanya are here. There are beautiful stone carvings of the hooded serpent, a yali with a chair hanging from its mouth and zodiac signs in the Subramanya temple.
Parambikulam Aliyar Dam
It is located at Aanamalai range. There is a hydro-electric plant which generates electricity from more than 6 rivers that inter connect a series of dams.
Siruvani Waterfalls (Kovai Kuttralam)
About 37 km west of the city it is noted for its captivating beauty and the sweetness of water. She panoramic view of the dam and the falls is of enchanting beauty.
Top Slip
A picturesque locale in the Aanamalai Hills. It is about 37 Km from Pollachi (about 90 Km from Coimbatore). There are bungalows available within the sanctuary. For thrill seekers, accommodation is also available in a tree house.
The Crocodile Farm
Crocodile farm at Amaravathi Dam is just 25 km from Udumalpet. this place is being developed as a District Excursion Centre.
Vaidehi Waterfalls
It is located 30 km front Coimbatore via. Narasipuram village. It is a fine picnic spot or trekkers. A perennial waterfalls is a major attraction here.
